Disclosure Statement
At African Mission Healthcare (African Mission Healthcare) we are committed to our mission of strengthening African mission hospitals to serve people in greatest need and to being good stewards of each and every resource entrusted to us. As good stewards, accountability and transparency are integral to all that we do. The disclosures provided below are required by specified states as part of their regulation of fundraising activities. Additionally, we provide our audited financial statements, the return filed by African Mission Healthcare with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (Form 990), and our annual Highlights Document on the African Mission Healthcare website for your information and review.
African Mission Healthcare is fortunate that a small group of generous donors help to cover the costs of our general operating (sometimes referred to as administrative) and fundraising activities. As a result, African Mission Healthcare is able to allocate a smaller portion of the donations we receive to cover the remaining costs of these activities. For large grants from foundations and other institutions, recovery of administrative and fundraising costs is agreed with the grantor. For all other donations, the amount allocated to enable these essential activities depends on specific programs and circumstances but does not exceed 8 percent of the funds received.
All of our efforts, whether relating to programs or our general operations or fundraising activities, are guided by the African Mission Healthcare distinctives that makes us unique and effective: We Listen, We’re Hands On, We Train, We See It Through and We Get Results.
