What We Do

Life-saving Care for the Hurting and Forgotten

African Mission Healthcare strategically partners with mission hospitals across sub-Saharan Africa to provide life-saving care today, train doctors for tomorrow and equip hospitals to sustain and expand care into the future.

Treating Patients Today

For many Africans, basic clinical care is simply not available. Whether it’s a C-section for a complicated birth, malaria treatment for a child or orthopedic surgery for a broken leg, millions of people lack access to the quality healthcare they need. African Mission Healthcare is equipping local mission hospitals to expand access to life-saving care. Nearly half of deaths before the age of five years in Africa occur in the first month of life. Neonatal mortality represents the single greatest loss of years of life on the continent.

Training Doctors for Tomorrow

Africa faces a shortage of millions of health workers. We train a wide diversity of health professions students from across the continent – including doctors, surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists, HIV care workers and others – in learning environments overseen by experienced faculty.

Transforming Hospitals for the Future

Africa needs modern hospitals and clinics to provide quality and compassionate medical care to the poor over the long-term. We work to strengthen African mission hospitals with multi-year investments in management training and infrastructure and equipment, which includes power, water, housing, and oxygen capacity.
